Shamalama
I'm researching side trips for my vacation in August/September in Utah/Wyoming/Colorado to collecting areas not too far from my travel pathway. At some point I will be travelling US 70 east to Grand Junction, CO from Salina, UT. I've seen some locality info that plant fossils can be found in Salina Canyon along US 70 as it passes through. I'm curious if anyone has ever found anything here and if it's worth a stop to prospect some? It's Cretaceous in age and I see that there are some coal seams in the area. Thanks!
