What kind of tooth?

Indeed, it is a lower horse tooth. Looks fairly fresh.

Thanks! I thought it looked fresh also. It doesn't burn or smell when I hold a lighter to it. Not sure if the burn test would work for a tooth or not. It's been a long time since any horses were around here.

It appears to be a lower left premolar 4 (p4). Scorch test on the tooth is not likely to be dispositive because I don't think there is any collagen there.
