Guest solius symbiosus
In the article: Several groups of fossils contain hundreds of molted exoskeletons, and others include large numbers of creatures all of the same size — a hint that the trilobites gathered in groups during some stages of their life cycles, possibly molting or mating I read something recently about a death assemblage that was found. In it, the trilobites had formed a chain, and apparently they following each other to some location, or it was some kind of mating ritual. I'll see if I can find it. Nicholas
That chain.... not unlike that other fossil chain they found last year... I forget the species but it seems entirely probable to me.
