old bones
I have found the perfect way to answer the questions I get when trying to describe my passion for micro fossils! While out shopping yesterday, we hit a few favorite hobby/craft stores like A C Moore and Michael's. I found this neat little pocket watch designed to showcase tiny finds and bought a chain to match. Now I can keep it in the watch pocket on my jeans and easily show off a selection of micro fossils from Merritt Island matrix.

Pagurus
I like it. It would be fun to have one with a working dial that turned backwards, going back in time. Start the day with a smile and get it over with.
The Goatlady
Or arrange the fossils in the number positions according to age. If you can some wee rodent fossils you could build a Mickey in the middle.

old bones
That's very cool Julianna! How will you pick the items to display from the hundreds you have? Thanks, John I chose some of the 'larger' micros like a lizard scale and vert, and a mouse tooth, cotton rat tooth and a vole tooth. I placed 2 samples of anole jaw bits with teeth in the center. Oh, and 2 claws as they are really neat. There is a tiny phalanx bone in there as well. I wanted to use items that would look somewhat recognizable. Never would of thought of that! Great idea! Thanks darctooth I like it. It would be fun to have one with a working dial that turned backwards, going back in time. Now, that would be cool! I can even change them out for different fossils when I get something new to show.
