Fannin County Museum of History, Bonham, Texas

The town of Bonham, Texas houses the Fannin County Museum of History. It contains many artifacts of the region's history, including many fossils & various arrowheads, spear points & stone tools found in or near the NSR.

The address is 1 N. Main St., Bonham, TX 75418. Admission is free, although they do request a donation of any amount to help cover operating expenses.

I need to check this out. When is it open?

Advance warning... the fossils don't necessarily match the signs. If you look at the second photo, you'll see a mosasaur vert next to a sign reading "unidentified mammal vertebrae" :D

That looks like a cool place to go!

It is! They have the fossils & artifacts from the NSR, as well as clothing, tools & weapons from the earliest days of the county, and even a restored WWII trainer airplane on display in the exhibit covering Jones Field, the airfield in Bonham that served as a training field for the US Army Air Corps in WWII. The building itself is the restored Texas & Pacific Railway Depot for Bonham, built in 1900.
