missmary49
I would like to see where to get on prep fossils. I bought a fish on eBay one time but it seems like I'm having a hard time hitting the right key words in the search field to find any fossils once again. Any ideas on where to find unsplit slabs and unprepped specimens?
Fossildude19
That kind of depends on what kind of fossils you are looking for. Sometimes contacting sellers on eBay is a good way to get unprepared fossils. You can also post in the member sales or trades area for what you want. Regards, EDIT: This is what came up when I searched for "unprepared fossils". Auspex
You can buy trilobite-bearing shale from the U-Dig quarry: LINK 1 "There has been an alarming increase in the number of things I know nothing about." - Ashleigh Ellwood Brilliant “Try to learn something about everything and everything about something.” - Thomas Henry Huxley >Paleontology is an evolving science. >May your wonders never cease! Fossildude19
There is also Florissant Shale you can buy from the Quarry. Leaves, insects, plants and more rarely fish... and spiders. Call them, as they are not terribly responsive to e-mails. snolly50
For unprepped Green River fish check with these folks.
