JarrodB
I found this fossil today at the North Sulphur River Texas (Cretaceous Ozan Formation). Is it part of a sea turtle leg?
Auspex
Maybe a piece of the plastron? Troodon
Does not look like a leg bone. Can you take a picture of the other side

Troodon
Thanks for the pic. but did not help. Looking for more conclusive evidence for plastron but will not rule it out.
RichW9090
If it is turtle, it appears to be a medial fragment of a costal. 1 The plural of "anecdote" is not "evidence".
jpc
or a piece of big fish skull?
JarrodB
or a piece of big fish skull? I thought that also but the preservation on the bone is very different than the large pieces of Xiphactinus skull that I usually find. Normally the fish skull pieces I find are dark black like my finds below. Edited April 21, 2016 by JarrodB
