Shellseeker
Sometimes I find almost perfect fossils, and sometimes not. Today was not, but I had a great day on the river with 2 friends, both TFF members. To make it really special, this was one of those days when we had to prospect for new locations. Few of my prospecting days turn out this well. These last 2 seemed like they might have come from the same fossilization process. 3rd Photo of a 2.83 inch Meg. Darktooth
Geez, what I would do for some "imperfect" fossils right about now. I like Trilo-butts and I cannot lie.

mrieder79
What a fantastic trip! There are truly few things as exciting as searching out a new location and striking gold. Luck is the most important skill of a fossil diver.

Auspex
Sometimes I find almost perfect fossils, and sometimes not... Jess B. (bone2stone) in another topic yesterday coined a good phrase which sums up the fossil hunter's lament: "...various stages of dilapidation." Kinda' sums up a lot of things in my life, come to think of it.
