Troodon
Collectors are buying what is being described has Stegosaurus back plates. These are NOT Stegosaurus plates but some geologic material that mimics the shape of a plate. I'm not aware of Jurassic exposures in Glen Rose Texas most are cretaceous. Seller also has a lot of other dubious dinosaur material for sale. Post any interests on the forum before you buy.
Mattalic
Indeed the seller has a lot of other "dubious" material. Dubious is polite. Someone with knowledge should most likely contact eBay to protect both the buyer and the seller.

Dracorex_hogwartsia
It's funny you just posted this. It wasn't more than 15 minutes ago I went to Google to find out who this person is. I expected it to be a man but it is a woman. Like you, I hope nobody fall for this scam. This woman is a little out there!

Troodon
Just sad that someone would scam others. . Happens far too often. Raises the question was this done intentionally or is it just ignorance on the part of the seller. Don't know. We have many postings of geologic shapes that the poster truly believes are fossils. Having said that there definitly those that are trying to scam others why we always need to be on our guard.

Fossildude19
As always, buyer beware. We can only do so much to educate the public. If you don't research before you buy, you kind of get what you deserve. Susan from PA
As always, buyer beware. We can only do so much to educate the public. If you don't research before you buy, you kind of get what you deserve. Regards, Lucky for those of us here that we've found this forum. I've been collecting since 2010, and just found this forum a few months ago. I wish I had found it sooner, While everything I have purchased has indeed been a fossil, I have had specimens misidentified, usually erring on more funds landing in a seller's pocket. Buyer beware indeed.
MeargleSchmeargl
That's pretty small for a "steg plate". Every single fossil you see is a miracle set in stone, and should be treated as such.
