Penn Dixie Trilobite — but which one?

Hey guys!

I took this little fella from the Penn Dixie site a few weeks ago and I had set it aside as a Greenops. But after really looking at it closely, those pygidium look awfully long, they're really not very common here, but I've heard rumors they do exist in the area—is this possibly a Bellacartwrightia?

Would make for a super neat addition to my collection if it is!

Hey Jay,

I am not sure. I have one very similar to yours. Mine is from 18 Mile Creek, though.

Greenops sp.? from 18 Mile Creek

I think it might be, (mine too) but I find the differences in all of the Asteropyginae quite confusing.
Maybe Gerry Kloc or Scott will weigh in on this.

Regards,

EDIT: By the way, your's looks like there might be more hiding in the matrix. Cool.

A tentative identification is a Greenops but it needs to be cleaned to determine a definite identification
