Unfortunately, the pictures get a bit blurry when enlarging the image and lighting could be a bit brighter (try natural outdoor lighting). Sorry, can't be of much help with the ID.

Tapir tooth? Or maybe mastodont cusp fragment? Need better photos.

Seeing the new photos, I'm backing out of the tooth camp :-)

Kind of reminds me of a "fish ballast" or tilly (hyperostotic) bone.

I agree that this is something geologic; a rock.

I think tilly bone is most likely. They come in many sizes and shapes. I believe the texture matches these two.

Yup. I was going Tilly bone (hyperostotic). I like the photo setup--not that it is the best for high quality photos but made me snigger when I saw your impromptu smartphone stand and thought "Maxwell Smart"! Five bonus points to those old enough to get that reference. :P
