Angie
Hey! We went to Antwerp yesterday and today, to do some shark teeth hunting. I'm thrilled about the finds These are the most beautiful teeth of yesterday. The megalodon isn't in a good condition, nor it is big and complete, but it's the first one we found ourselves (and they're not very common in Antwerp). Got the notorynchus cepedianus actually from an another hunter! These are the nicest ones of today. Some great hastalis I'm very happy with Greetings, Angie
sixgill pete
Great finds Angie. I would like to see some pics of the second tooth, top row of the top pic. I think you may have a special tooth there. Rustdee
Very nice teeth. It is always great to see the same species of teeth I find in the Carolinas from across the pond. I also think that the tooth sixgill pete is talking about is special and rare, but as I have never actually found one lets see what he has to say. Definitely great finds! sixgill pete
Yep Angie the tooth in question is as Kevin H. said a Paratodus benedini. That is indeed a very special and rare find. This tooth should take up an honored place in your collection. Outstanding find. The other tooth Kevin mentioned, first picture middle row far right is as he said a Carcharoides catticus. It is also a rather uncommon tooth. Not as rare as P. benedini, but still a great find. You had a much better day than you even realized. Couldn't have thought of a Paratodus benedini myself! @sixgill pete Indeed a much better day than I realized, I hadn't got clue! That makes the teeth even more fascinating They'll get a special place! Edited July 10, 2016 by Angie
