One more from Green Mill Run, Eastern NC

One more tooth from Green Mill Run, Eastern NC. This tooth is about 3/4" and is unfortunately split in half, the back side is missing. The background is 1/4" grid. Any ideas?

Could you take a clearer picture of the broken side (second picture). It looks like it could be mastodon tooth enamel, however, clearer photos are a must. Also a closer picture of the broken side would be extra helpful.

I've never seen a tooth like that come out of that creek. Not sure what it is.
