Hi my dad found a rock that is rough like a normal rock on one side but quite smooth and has different textures also. I scraped off some sandstone on the one side and it became more smooth. This rock is also found where a lot of dinosaurs are found. If this is a fossil, can you tell me what type of fossil it is?

Welcome to the Forum. Can you also be a bit more specific as the locality of where it was found may help with the ID

This wouldn't be a fossil...it appears to be a coarse grained quartzite.
