The Jersey Devil
Hey everyone, this find is from the Late Cretaceous of NJ. It is about 1.5 inches long and closely resembles a clavicle. It is not that heavy though so I am not sure if it has been mineralized. It could possibly be from a modern animal. Thanks for the help. “You must take your opponent into a deep dark forest where 2+2=5, and the path leading out is only wide enough for one.” ― Mikhail Tal

The Jersey Devil
The only thing is is that it is much lighter than most stones... “You must take your opponent into a deep dark forest where 2+2=5, and the path leading out is only wide enough for one.” ― Mikhail Tal
doushantuo
There might be all sorts of reasons for its low specific gravity. I agree with those above me:no condyles, foramina, lacunae, porosity,or other indications that it is osteological("bone") Edited August 5, 2016 by doushantuo
Fossildude19
Doesn't have bone texture, in my opinion. Could be a deposit of ash or siltstone.
