Tex
Can anyone tell me what, if anything, this is? My first thought was sand dollar, then I thought it kinda looked like the body of a crab. I found these with in a few feet of it. I found it in a creek in West Fort Worth. Looking at the chart, it's maybe Goodland Formation, looking at the Chart (it says Kgl) Thanks for any help y'all can give.

tmaier
I'm with John on the bivalve, and the other photo shows a couple gastropods, but the other items I can't see what they are. The photos are small and fuzzy.
Tex
1 is a small heart urchin. I'm not sure what the bottom ones are. http://www.thefossilforum.com/index.php?/topic/67738-fort-worth-tx-16-aug-2016-sight-1/ This is the trip post they are from. tmaier
The image is bigger, but still poorly lit and out of focus. Looks like you are finding a lot, and have found a good spot.
Tex
Thank you. I'll try to take better pics later. I mostly wanted to know what the round thing is in the first set of pics. The ones my hand is in.
fifbrindacier
I agree with the IDs of Tmaier and John. "On ne voit bien que par le coeur, l'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux." Tex
alright. Thank you. It's a relatively small area where a bridge crosses a creek. There are fences on both sides, but they are set back a little bit, so it does still give a little room to hunt. And most of those came from the creek bed between the bridge and the fence, so a little digging here and there (without digging out to much of the bank) could be done, but I found this in just a few minutes of looking around, without digging, and didn't cover the whole area. And there are bigger rocks down stream that could catch smaller fossils like these. I'll go back this next week and see what I can find after the rain.
Mr.Marcus
Top row (two gastropods snails) appear to be Tylostoma regina, pedernalis or tumidum. http://txfossils.com/TFSnails.html The top row (furthest right) appears to be a Holaster simplex. Bottom row (furthest left) appears to be a Neithea texana (pecten). Anyone else concur?

The genera are probably solid.

Tex
I found a name for the fossils made by sediment filling inside shells and such. "Steinkern". For anyone else out there who didn't already know that like I didn't. Edited August 25, 2016 by Tex
