That turned out wonderful. I'm happy I was able to help you acquire some specimens from St.Paul. Did you get a chance to prep that caylex with arms?

Best regards,

Paul

Edit:I should mention that my wife found that(The first trilobite she found) and is the one who offered it to Peat. BTW Peat, she loves the fish!

I've started on the Eucalyptocrinus. Several hours so far, but hardly feels like I made a dent. Lots of epibiota on it.

I don't understand? Why such a color difference? Did you take the shell material off? Very confused.RB

No, just different lighting. The before pic was a quickie taken on the corner of the stage of the stereoscope (I always forget to take "before" pics). Both pics were taken with my phone, and depending on the background value (black or white) it automatically adjusts the tone of the object...

Here's the same specimen in oblique incandescent light (same as the "before" photo) from the same camera angle as the "before" photo. The "after" photo I posted above had overhead fluorescent light. Among other things, the value of the background and the spectral characteristics of the light source affect the auto-correction features of the cell phone camera.
