wetwilly
Hi, Few more finds from the brooks of Monmouth County. I'm thinking #1 is a possible fragment from an Enchodus. #2 a dermal scute from a ray? And #3 I posted because it looks different from my other finds (Probably because it is very worn?) 1, 2. 3. (5/8") Thanks. Bill
ynot
Do not know what the first thing is. Second is a scute, but seems large for a ray. What is the scale? Third is a shark tooth with a partial root. Tony Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." Will Rogers said: " Some of them didn't spring far enough." ynot
At that size I think a ray is possible, wait for the experts to reply. Tony PS Nice finds. Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." MarcoSr
What does the other side of #2 look like. It reminds me more of turtle shell. siteseer
I agree with Marco Sr. It looks like sea turtle shell. Here are some different views. The squares are 1" blocks. Thanks Marco Sr.
Rockwood
Don't know the term, but I think it's the point that a rib joins the shell of a turtle.

Here is a part of a soft shell I found from the same location with it. Nice find!
erose
Yep, 2 is turtle. Nice! Pretty sure 1 is just a rock... The re-curve on that tooth is interesting. Once in a while some odd ones show up...
