fifbrindacier
I see very tiny holes that make me think it could rather be a bryozoan than a coral, but i am not an expert, so let's wait for more knowledgeable's opinion. njfossilhunter
I don't know what to make of the first or top specimen but the bottom one looks like a very worn ghost shrimp burrow called Protocallinassa mortoni. Here is a picture of one I found last year in Big Brook in Marlboro N.J. Hope this help Here is a close up picture of one 2 TonyThe Brooks Are Like A Box Of Chocolates,,,, You Never Know What You'll Find. I Told You I Don't Have Alzheimer's.....I Have Sometimers. abyssunder
That's a nice example and I think a good possibility. I don't know if the Ophiomorpha was made by Protocallianassa mortoni or Protocallianassa pleuralum, but the latter was described from Texas in C. E. Schweitzer, R. M. Feldmann, A. Garassino, H. Karasawa, and G. Schweigert. 2010. Systematic list of fossil decapod crustacean species. Crustaceana Monographs 10:1-222 . 2 " We are not separate and independent entities, but like links in a chain, and we could not by any means be what we are without those who went before us and showed us the way. fifbrindacier
Maybe the piece on the top would be worth a little cleaning for a better ID.
