Need ID on fieldstone fossil

Can you provide any other details to help us ID this? Region/area found would be a good start, and if you know the formation and age, that would be even better!

Not much to go on for ID, except to say it looks like unidentifiable plant hash, to me.

It's Phanerozoic and it contains metazoan fragments (or even Metaphyta).

That's $ 2,95 ,please.:P

Location,stratigraphy,provenance,possibly pix of original environment*.

Was it in situ?

(*Some kinds of vegetation are pretty lithology-specific).SHOW and tell.

Signs of weathering,faulting,metamorphism,redeposition?

Not sure he can supply that info, as I believe this comes from fieldstone imported in to make a wall.

fair enough.

Now i know what "fieldstone'' implies.

However,as others have tried to do before, I am trying to promote the gathering and storage of as much data as humanly ,legally,

and logistically possible
