Is this bone or just geological? The deep red/brown color and texture are convincing, but I can't make sense of it. Any help is appreciated.

I'm not seeing bone texture, not saying it's geological tho. Where did you find it?

Fish bone, I should have said. This was found in the Britton member of the Eagle Ford formation in Texas.

Looks like some fishy bits in there, maybe.  

 

Maybe fish regurgitate, or coprolite?
