Is this a bone?

Hi everyone! On a recent hounding trip along the Green River in Utah I came across this. I think it's a bone but could be off. Any help identifying would be great, thanks!

It's an interestingly shaped piece, but lacks any of the texture and shape to qualify it as bone. Of course, even some bone fossils that were mistaken as rocks initially have confused experts! It does seem geologic to me and not a bone fossil.
