Gmr never disappointing! My favorite place by far! Never a time i come here and go home skunked. Just have to know when and where to look. Be unconventional in the way you hunt and many treasures will come.

Im definately excited, thank you! Typically most large teeth in this creek bed are in fragments. So to find two fully intact was beyond amazing.

Yeah and its pretty large. 9" across as it is, 7 inches thick. I thought it was a rock at first until i cleaned it off and was fossil struck. Never have found vertabrae this large. Not sure exactly what species of whale though.

Amazing colors for GMR teeth. Most of the megs from there, along with most teeth are usually black. Also I don't see any Crow Shark. You must have hit an area of mostly Miocene / Pliocene that had never been dug to get those colors. Nice.

Wow, you did great! I would have probably thought that vertebrae was a rock too and left it there. My wife's rule is pick up everything and sort it out later. Of course that gets heavy after awhile.

The big tooth was literally sitting right on top, i couldn't believe it at first. I said to myself its prolly another piece of glass that looksblike a tooth. Haha

Let her carry everything, she'll learn to be selective pretty quick.

That is quite a nice meg you have there in the center for GMR. Megs are not uncommon there but ones in good condition are. The large bone fragment you found isn't really unusual as the place is full of whale bones.

Rick, that makes 2 of us. I took a chance and decided to dig in the side bank. Im only assuming that it didnt make it to the gravel and get worn down. Honestly I have no explanation why its in such good condition, its just an idea though. However I have been fortunate before to find teeth in prestine condition there, its rare, but it has happened.
