Jodom512
Can anyone help me in identifying theses?
caldigger
First two, I am not really familiar with perhaps Sand Tiger , next one Squalicorax, last on top maybe Enchodus or something else that broke. First four on bottom more Squalicorax, last one can't make out (it's not looking like a tooth to me). You may have to take closer picture of that one. Jodom512
Thank you for your response. Sorry about the last one being included. I dont think it is a tooth at all but maybe a small bone. All help is appreciated.
sixgill pete
If you had posted this in the Fossil ID forum, you might get more looks and more opinions as far as ID. Maybe the mods can move this? As far as the teeth some locality info on where they were found would be helpful in securing a more positive ID. I can see you location is Austin, but we cannot assume that you found then in or near the river there. I will say the first two look like a sand tiger the next Squalicorax linstromi then a blade from what looks like to me a Scapanorhyynchus texanus. The second row the first four are Squalicorax. The second being Squalicorax lindstromi. The second tooth in the top row ( white one) which is an exceptional tooth, may be Carcharias samhammeri. 1 Bulldozers and dirt Bulldozers and dirt behind the trailer, my desert Them red clay piles are heaven on earth I get my rocks off, bulldozers and dirt Patterson Hood; Drive-By Truckers May 2016 May 2012 Aug 2013, May 2016, Apr 2020 Oct 2022
