Jodom512
Can anyone help me identify these. They are coming out of several cliffsides on my property. At first glance they look like bones but they crumble and break easily and appear to have a smooth inside. Surround by seashells and i have found these shark teeth in the mix. This is in south austin close to onion creek, not too far from pilots knob volcano.
tmaier
Looks like a Rudist Reef. http://www.google.com/search?q=rudist+reef+cretaceous&btnG=Search&hl=en&gbv=1&tbm=isch Rudists were marine bivalves there had rather odd shapes. That third photo down seems to show a "lid" on one of the rudists.
abyssunder
They looks like infilled burrows, to me. caldigger
The third picture down looks like it may be the end of a cephalopod.
