LLVB
Hello, I have been trying to identify this fossil/rock for my daughter for some time now with no luck. She finds it fascinating and would like to be a Geologist when she grows up. We've been searching through books and online. Asking for your expert help on this one! Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. Origin is unknown it's been a part of my collection for decades at this point. Thank you kindly, LLVB
Fossildude19
Welcome to the Forum. To me, this looks like cross sections of Crinoid stems, or bivalve shells. Not plants. Let's see what locals have to say about this. abyssunder
Fusulinids was also my thought. Looks like that, I agree. http://palaeo-electronica.org/content/2-1-fusulinid/198-1999-1/854-fusulinid-figures " We are not separate and independent entities, but like links in a chain, and we could not by any means be what we are without those who went before us and showed us the way.
