JarrodB
I had a fun hunt today at NSR. I found a nice variety of fossils. My buddy made a friend with a small wild boar. We hiked 4 miles all together. Here's some pics of my finds. Mosasaur jaw section, Xiphactinus jaw section, Enchodus jaws and teeth, Shark teeth, Fish verts, Mosasaur tooth and verts, Tylosaur jaw fragment, Mystery bone and Old marble. The Mosasaur tooth was my first find of the day.

JohnJ
A memorable trip, Jarrod. Although tough to say for sure, I think your mosasaur tooth is a mosasaur pterygoid tooth. 1 The human mind has the ability to believe anything is true. - JJ

Twinlukers
Your Little Friend seemed pretty tamed? Bacon!!!!!!!!!! Just kidding.. nice finds. I get jealous!!! your finding so much. Question how are you preserving the colors of the Verts? what kind of Prep work are you doing? I have one that is turning more grey in color here in Galveston.. the humidity is playing with the colors.

I've never had any issue with my verts changing colors. I do have friends that soak them when they are brittle in a Elmer's glue & water solution but I've never tried it. Ridgehiker
Great to see fossils in situ. I enjoy trying to find them in your photos. It must be a great time of year to hike down there. We arent as fond of wild boar up here. Not their fault but not native and they eat the eggs of ground nesting birds, etc. Then again, the cougars likely enjoy an exotic pork chop.
