Found in stone from quarry with a lot of fossils in it and palaeolithic tools. Another tooth appears to have been broken off behind. Or just Flint nodule ? 3 ins long U.K. Jurassic area

Don't believe your item is a tooth - no enamel. 

Pretty good mimic, though. 

 

The broken edges look like flint. 

It could possibly be a sponge fossil in flint ? :unsure:

There is lots of flint and where the break is looks like flint.  We have lots got lots of interesting fossils from this batch of stone though. Will take some photos although most are easy to identify like the Ammonites in the second photo, Look forward to seeing others finds : ) Anyone know about flint tools too ?

If you can provide those photos with has much information as to locality, age, formation etc someone familiar with Ammonites might be able to put a more specific  ID to them .
