Troodon
Well in the Hell Creek Formation there is very little you can describe by size or being unusual unless it's an adult T rex. Here a seller is trying to identify a toe bone and "suggests" that it's a Tyrannosaur because it's stocky and unusual. Well unusual is not a word that I've ever seen used to describe any species. One always has to look at the shape of a bone to help describe it among other factors. In this example the toe bone in question is not even from a theropod but my sense from a Thescelosaurus, and may be pathological. Digit IV phalanx 1 My suggestion in most case is to ignore the description, unless it's obvious, and try to figure out what the specimen is on your own or through the forum.
