FossilHunterStan
Hello, I found this at Beaumaris today. I think it might be a bone? What do people think? Thanks, Dan
digit
Looks geological to me but I'm not particularly familiar with the scope of the fossils at Beaumaris. I do know that they are basically shallow-water marine in nature and the echinoid Lovenia woodsi is particularly common there. Had the great pleasure of visiting that locality twice for a little less than an hour a couple of weeks ago during a low tide. Apparently, there are also shark teeth and some cetacean bones that have been found there but in our brief fossicking there we were only able to find some Lovenia (several nice ones). The fossil hunting seemed to get better the further you go along the beach (but watch the tides). Cheers. -Ken
