Rare near-complete dodo skeleton fetches £346,300 at auction

Not a fossil, but a skeleton of an extinct and rare bird...

This is the first Dodo skeleton to be sold in the past 100 years. It is compositied from bones that were aquired one at a time.

346 thousand pounds is about 400 thousand dollars, in real money. =-)
