RolandoGuerra
I found these three what I beleive are round fossils together in the middle of my ranch in northern Mexico, very close to the south texas border, I have previously found other fossils in the same area but all of them are shells or star fish fossils nothing like these I found. I know nothing about fossils and would like to know what these 3 spheres are....Thank you!
Ludwigia
I'm sorry to inform you that those are not eggs, but rather what are called concretions. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Concretion It's easy to mistake these forms for eggs if, like you say, you know nothing about fossils. What you have may be iron or phosphate concretions. 2 Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Roger http://www.steinkern.de/
bone2stone
True, not eggs. This type of stone anomaly may be found throughout the stratigraphic deposits all over the world. Bone2stone
Fossildude19
I agree - these are concretions. Welcome to the Forum. Plax
if they are concretions found in strata with other fossils they may contain fossils such as crabs. I at first took these for low grade iron such as grape shot which will exfoliate like this. Am assuming you've tried a magnet on them?
fossilized6s
I agree with the others. These are a classic example of Ironstone concretions. ~Charlie~ "There are those that look at things the way they are, and ask why.....i dream of things that never were, and ask why not?" ~RFK ->Get your Mosasaur print ->How to spot a fake Trilobite ->How to identify a CONCRETION from a DINOSAUR EGG
