Hi everybody.

I'm trying to prepare this trilobite from Lower Devonian of Spain. Finalky I put off the rock and clean some parts, but now I have this problem: what's the best method for clean small details? What do you recommend me?

Regards

Juan

If you do not own an air abrasion device/compressor,... you could use dental pics or a hardened sewing needle to remove the matrix around the eyes.

Well, I don´t have air abrasion device or a compressor, but I´m trying to buy it. Do you know where can I obtain it? I´m looking for that, but I find only air compressor for cars, and I can´t find the instruments of the air compressor to clean fossils.

Any compressor with some capacity will work.  I purchased a 20 gallon to power a blast cabinet for metal stuff and it does fine.  I bought a California Air Tools because it's quiet and fills fast.  Since you're in Spain, you might just have to go to a local hardware store and see what they have.

For the air abrasion, I bought a cheap Harbor Freight one which I have not tried yet.  Lots of folks on here have recommended a Paasche air eraser.  There are even more expensive ones available.
