tmaier
I'm not a bones expert, but those look like deer vertebrae to me. Might be Whitetail deer or Mule deer. You don't see that ridge of bones when the animal is alive, because muscles are attached and create that large area over the shoulders. https://www.google.com/search?q=deer+skeleton&btnG=Search&hl=en&gbv=1&tbm=isch

Kayanddogs
Hi Chief so you think these are from the cervicle area of the deer ? Kay
Kayanddogs
Hi Chief again nevermind, just googled deer skeleton. That must had been a big one to have a 9" thick muscle. Kay

Batfossil
Could be any of the larger bovids or horse; cow would be my first guess. They are thoracic vertebrae--facets for the ribs are visible near the upper portions of the vertebrae.
