Alligator Tooth?

Is this half an alligator tooth?  Area was Miocene.  It is about 1 1/8" long.

I'm thinking crocodile.  The ones I've seen from the Miocene match the shape in that pic.

Could be alligator.  Like shark teeth the mechanics of growth make for a wide variety in the type.  What I see in your pictures is what I see in living alligator teeth.
