Nice find(s)!!!

4 in one year-- Y'all going to get spoiled.

I blame the raptor tooth necklace  @Ash had made for me for our wedding! Every time I have worn it, we've found something nice! :P Kidding aside, this season has been a bountiful one.

Turtle & croc material are pretty rare where I hunt in North Texas but here's a nice Cretaceous turtle vert I found at the North Sulphur River Texas. I average 1 turtle vert for every 100 Mosasaur verts I find.

Wow! I would have thought turtle would have been more common in the area.

Shell pieces aren't terribly common for our area, especially ones with nice texture, so we tend to keep them. Never have found a skull or vert of a turtle!

Here's a piece of Protostega Plastron I found recently while artifact hunting.

Here is a croc toe bone from the Isle of Wight. They were not huge beasts.

Also a few teeth from the same area. Scale is in cm's.

Wow, definitely some incredible pieces in here from several of you:fistbump: I find tons of turtle bits here and a good bit of gator with just a few little pieces of croc in my collection. I did want to share this rare for here articulated giant land tortoise foot which I pieced together as best I could. Also found about 100 dermal denticles and some associated shell too :)

Thanks.... no doubt lol. I’m not sure where this one relates in terms of size but a lot bigger than the gopher tortoises running around here now

That turtle is just amazing...

How do you plan to display it?

Thank you Skyelar, I have museum wax holding it together now and hope to slide it off the plate into my cabinet in one piece :) the wax would work well for holding a couple pieces together but this thing has 20 + bones in it so I have to handle it very gently. I’m not sure what I’m going to do with the denticles yet and I have a good bit more shell in smaller pieces that I’m going to try to fit together too. It may end up in its own display if I piece the shell back enough to get a large chunk

Apart from eight specimens, these are all new acquisitions for this year (not all from Australia; some pieces we've obtained this year are not pictured):

Getting a pretty large collection of croc material there:fistbump: pretty ironic how they’re relatively rare there when almost every wildlife show I see about Australia has hordes of them nowadays lol. I’ve never found a croc osteoderm here yet but they do find them occasionally. I think I’ve found 1/2 a dozen teeth but gators out number them by at least 20 fold

I've had this croc piece for a while. But I've finally finished prepping and scanning it. So here is the final scanned model.

This is a left postorbital of an Elosuchus, a large crocodile from the Late Cretaceous of the Kem Kem beds. Part of the left frontal and squamosal bones are also attached where the bone is broken on the medial and posterior side. On this 3D model I have mirrored the fossil to create the right postorbital as well. I've added in the 2D image as well for clarity, as it shows where the bone is situated.
