Kimisue143
I found this while walking on the beach. The city was dredging the inlet. It has been in the water awhile I believe but it still smells. It smells a bit like sulfur or swamp. Wondering if anyone could help with identification. Fossildude19
Welcome to the Forum. Can we get a picture of the broken end? Also, a close up of the texture on the sides? Fossildude19
Cropped and brightened a bit. Also,... is this item flattened in aspect, or rounded? My first thought was some kind of mangrove root section. ynot
You have shown 2 sides of the object, can You post pictures of the top and bottom? Also can You do pictures of the ends straight on instead of at an angle? Thanks. Tony Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." Will Rogers said: " Some of them didn't spring far enough." Kimisue143
I'm sure now this is not a fossil I put it in peroxide and it's turning white. But it's got to be some part of a jaw bone. Thank you everyone.
