Took a short trip out to Post Oak yesterday.

Found my first complete glass bottle.  Not sure if it's old or not.  It has an S with a circle around it on the bottom.  Also was pretty excited to find my first Ptychodus teeth.

Well congrats on getting out to POC. Were there any others there?

Nice pickins, it seems that the Schanos are the dominate tooth finds lately.

Ptycos can be difficult to see even when they are pointed out by someone.

So finding your first only sparks your keen-eye and hones your skills.

That strange "tooth" may be what's left of a horse tooth. Badly damaged.

That specimen bottom left if it what I think it is I have found them there as well.

To me they are remnants of a bi-valve of sorts. Again badly worn.

(The bottle) I dig in old dump sites around the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and can tell you it ranges in age from

the late 30's - Mid 50's it was a perfume bottle. What the "S" stands for I never investigated.

Normally most of us that dig there don't keep them but some of us did keep a few for examples.

Good hunting and "HAPPY NEW YEAR"!!!  :yay-smiley-1:
