Ropterus
Had the opportunity to hit the cliffs New Year's Day. Was fortunate enough to find this little beauty and several other nice teeth as well. After my last trip, where I lost a majority of my teeth due to a faulty lid on a container, it looks as though I was rewarded today. Found a lot of teeth. Great day today. Darctooth Dave, I was thinking about you today buddy!
Fossildude19
Whoa! Happy New Year to you! Nice finds,... and that Meg looks pristine! Not everyday you see a Meg, or teeth of that size coming out of the cliffs! Congratulations on an excellent hunt. That is definitely the way to start off a new year! Darktooth
That is one sweet meg , Scott! And you got a few other nice ones as well. Its good to know someone was thinking about me, while I am stuck in this frozen , barren, wasteland of central N.Y. Lol. I am really glad you got out and were rewarded with that Meg. Hopefully I can meet up with you again soon. Dave I like Trilo-butts and I cannot lie.

My experience is that Megs from florida in this shape come from clay, sand, or mud layers that protected them for 2+ mya, Congradulations on a fantastic find and I am glad you have these types of hunting grounds close. Shellseeker, it was Calvert Cliffs. I'm about 2 hours away, so not too far. I am still excited about finding this tooth. Great way to start the year!
