austinswamp
Good afternoon, I found this along the creek's edge near Del Valle Texas. Both sides are somewhat uniform. Plenty of shale formations nearby. Thanks

ynot
Interesting piece but I think it is a geologic and not a fossil. Tony 2 Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." Ramon
Cool find!!! But I don't know what it is. It might be geology 1 "Without fossils, no one would have ever dreamed that there were successive epochs in the formation of the earth" - Georges Cuvier
truceburner
@austinswamp could you show us pictures of the edges of the piece as well? It is reminiscent of a cast of one lobe of an ammonite's living chamber. If it's geology, and it may well be, it's a great example of nature's trickery. Thanks for sharing it with us.
