Good afternoon, I found this along the creek's edge near Del Valle Texas. Both sides are somewhat uniform. Plenty of shale formations nearby. Thanks

@austinswamp could you show us pictures of the edges of the piece as well? It is reminiscent of a cast of one lobe of an ammonite's living chamber. If it's geology, and it may well be, it's a great example of nature's trickery. Thanks for sharing it with us.
