It has to be less than 4 MB in size. Regards, EDIT: Please include where you found it, and something in the picture for size reference - preferably a ruler. Oh, ... and Welcome to the Forum. Fossildude19
Sorry, but that isn't an egg. It has no eggshell texture to the outside. The rind is much too thick to be eggshell. I believe you have a chert nodule . Keep looking. 3 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." Ludwigia
Sorry to disappoint, but it's just another nodule. Actually it looks exactly like the one in your first post. Fossildude19
I've merged your two topics together, for continuity. There is no need for duplicate threads on the same fossil/rock. ynot
I agree with it being a chert nodule. Nice color. Tony PS Welcome to 1 Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." abyssunder
This is from present, when we have no time to speak properly, using abreviations. Returning to the request, the specimen gives me a strong geological wibe. I agree that it looks like a chert nodule having a lighter and thinner cover than the core, with some nice inclusions. Some of the chert nodules might include fossils as support, but I think, not in this case. -Andy-
Sorry to say it is indeed a chert nodule. These fellas are commonly mistaken as dino eggs. Here's one with fossils in it. Looking forward to meeting my fellow Singaporean collectors! Do PM me if you are a Singaporean, or an overseas fossil-collector coming here for a holiday!
