JohnJ
The Winner of the 2016 Invertebrate / Plant Find Of The Year is the Megokkos sp. crab with epibionts from the Late Eocene/Early Oligocene of Oregon, USA!!! Congratulations to bruce on his 2nd FOTY win!!! Finding and prepping your own fossils is its own reward; but this one is truly special. Thanks to @bruce for sharing it with us! I would also like to congratulate, again, the other eleven winners in 2016! The crab you voted for IPFOTY in 2010 was recently donated to the Smithsonian along with two others for display in the “Deep Time” exhibit when it re-opens in 2019. Doctor Mud
Well done Bruce! Great diligence and patience are required to prep any crab, then add preserving these epibionts on top of that..... Look forward to see what 2017 produces.

digit
I've learned a lot from this fossil and will try to sprinkle some epibionts on any future FOTM submissions. A great slate of IPFOTM candidates for 2016. Bruce will not be crabbing about his second IPFOTY win--way to rack them up! You're in good shape for the Fossil Of The Decade competition coming up in a few years. Cheers. -Ken
