Found this in the finis shale formation (Graham) of Jacksboro, TX which is Pennsylvanian.  Need help identifying.....Approximately 1 inch long.

all three pictures are of the same side.

It would help to id if You would show the other side and end.

With the pictures provided it looks like a suggestive shaped rock.

Pics are a bit blurry. 

I'm not seeing any bone texture in the break, though. :headscratch:

I also think it's a rock...

Where do you think the fish is? Could you circle it?

The texture could be from weathering of a piece of slicken side. I wouldn't rule bone out without a good look at a cleaned up end though. Fish bone I doubt the most. It lacks the 'stranding' in the texture.

Try to post photos less blurry for us to say if this is a weathered bone or a suggestive rock.

According to me it more looks like a rock suggesting some kind of jaw, although i do not see the holes left by the teeth.
