ynot
all three pictures are of the same side. It would help to id if You would show the other side and end. With the pictures provided it looks like a suggestive shaped rock. Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." Will Rogers said: " Some of them didn't spring far enough." Fossildude19
Pics are a bit blurry. I'm not seeing any bone texture in the break, though. ynot
I stay with the original id-- a suggestive rock. Tony Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." Max-fossils
I also think it's a rock... Where do you think the fish is? Could you circle it? Rockwood
The texture could be from weathering of a piece of slicken side. I wouldn't rule bone out without a good look at a cleaned up end though. Fish bone I doubt the most. It lacks the 'stranding' in the texture. fifbrindacier
Try to post photos less blurry for us to say if this is a weathered bone or a suggestive rock. According to me it more looks like a rock suggesting some kind of jaw, although i do not see the holes left by the teeth. "On ne voit bien que par le coeur, l'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux."
