I am not sure but I believe these to be Cretodus arcuatus. These are my favorite teeth that I have found from  Big Brook. They are in superb condition. As good as any of my miocene teeth. Nice shiny enamel. Even though they are much older.

Great collection Dave! Is there more?!?!

Yes Scott , there is more to come! Trying to get it all photographed while trying to juggle family responsibilities is time consuming. I wish I could provide better pics as I feel the pics I have, don't do justice to some of those teeth. There will be more on the way as soon as I can find more time.By the way I want to try and meet you down at Brownies maybe towards the end of April.

Pictures like this will look better if You shoot straight down rather than at an angle. Scale would be nice also.

Nice teeth! Which one is unidentified?

They all look porpoise to Me.

With the lighting I am using if I take a picture straight down it casts a shadow. I need to set up a better lighting system. Next pics I will use something for scale. As for the tooth in question is the lighter color tooth in the back corner has a funny shape on the crown totally different than the others. I thought at first it was broke. Then I looked under magnification and saw it wasn't. I will try to take a better pic of it tomorrow. Its getting late and I have to work in the morning.

Looks like a dolphin tooth to Me. Just a little worn.

Ok thanks Tony. I found this at the base of the cliffs sticking out with another largerroot with the tip broke off. There appeared to be part of the jaw but digging into the cliffs is not allowed so I only plucked the teeth out.

Sandtiger. This is the only decent tooth I have found at Venice beach from my first trip to Florida.
