Picked this up on a river bar north coast California. I read the rocks were formed during the tertiary, Cretaceous, and Jurassic time periods, hope that's useful information. I'll attach a couple more pics image.jpegimage.jpeg

Looks like a rock. Also looks like bone because it has some cavities. I'll go with rock/ geological origin.
