New guy n need of expertise and then a new home

Hi i recently found this rock out n the country by an old timers porch  whom gave this fossil to me it has rough putting pours surface parts,  its a hatched uncollapsed egg. Very cool 100% legit lucky find.... but what is it?! And i hope it finds a home sometime soon

I agree that it's not an egg. The texture is close however. Here is a shot of a piece of dinosaur egg for comparison.

It might look cool in a garden, as a new home. ;)

Welcome to the forum!

I agree that it is not an egg. First, it has no egg texture whatsoever. Secondly, eggs never hatch in such a straight and clean line. Lastly, eggs are never uncrushed. I can't even make out a small crack there.

but don't give up though, with some expertise learnt from the forum and a lot of patience you will be able to find a real egg. Good luck!
