I am seeing: Diplomystus dentatus Mioplosis labracoides Knightia Alta Knightia Eoceana This is a nice piece. Where did it come from? Self-collected? How much repair? honourable
Had it professionally prepared. Came from Wyoming green river. Very little is done maybe less than 3% of paint for small areas such as fins that popped off. Nothing else was done on it. There's no coat on top of the plate so it is as natural as it gets. There's no composition either and all fish are in their natural position. Diplomystus dentatus Mioplosis labracoides Knightia Alta Knightia Eoceana is correct. It's in my tags. honourable
I have many more pictures but it is a pain to upload only 2 at at time due to the restriction. Also don't got a nice camera to take it with. These pictures are taken on a phone =[
Ash
@honourable - Upload as much as you can, then hit refresh. It lets you upload more without losing what you've got But yeah, is a bit of a pain. Brilliant plate! Should be framed and on the wall! honourable
As you guys can see there's a lot of corpolite on this plate too. The cool thing is that there's a natural blue color about 4/5 of the plate. Can anyone tell why there's a blue coloring in the matrix?
honourable
This one sorts of looks like one fish is in the water, the other is stranded on the sand. Also if you have a good eye you can see a fish that is not prepped...

FossilDudeCO
@honourable The blue streak comes from different minerals trapped in the rocks. I am not quite sure what minerals, but just a few inches below this layer is where you can find a GORGEOUS bright orange layer. The orange comes from Iron. I do not know what the blue comes from.
