FossilDudeCO
hey guys, found this interesting little tooth while sorting some STH matrix. Any clue who it belongs to? Or what tooth it is?
Max-fossils
What's the STH micro-matrix? What are the age of the fossils in that matrix? That might be some useful information... And looking at the tooth, I can't really help. In all the micro-matrix you gave me, I don't remember finding any tooth like that one. I say just wait a bit and someone will come to help you. Darktooth
I think it may be a retro flexus mako. 1 I like Trilo-butts and I cannot lie.
FossilDudeCO
@Max-fossils sorry, STH is Shark Tooth Hill. In Bakersfield, CA. @darctooth it does appear to be mako because of no serrations, would this be an uncommon position to find? The root is oddly large.
Darktooth
I don't know about the tooth position being rare per se. I only suggest it being Isurus retroflexus because it looks similar to ones I have found at Calvert Cliffs only much smaller. And I too found one like yours in the micromatrix I got from tony. If he or Caldigger see this they should be able to clarify. I will try to post pics of mine later. I like Trilo-butts and I cannot lie.
